After Updating Expressions Media 2, with SP2, not all my pictures return

Question

My Expressions Media 2 folder became corrupt, so I went through the necessary steps to download SP1 and SP2 and now I can open the folder again, but instead of the 5000+ pictures it once had, there are only about 400.

The computer I'm working with has Windows XP

That sounds like your catalog was corrupted and SP2 recovered as much as it could. If there was that much damage, I'd rebuild the catalog from the originals unless you didn't sync your metadata with the original files. If you did that, everything should be there except colored flags when you import them again.
