Creating attendee meetings and meeting requests messages in attendees mailboxes RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are going to develope Java back-end applications that would need to create meetings in organizer and attendees calendars using EWS. Can someone advise on the foloowing:

    1.  what whould a sequesnce of ews request we need to make in order to create a meeting in organizer calendar, then trigger sending meeting invites to attendees and create meeting in their calendars.

    2.  Do we have to explcitely make all 3 operations or some it can be done automatically by Exchange, namely if send MeetingRequests would it automatically create the meeting in recipient calendar?

    3. Also how one can send meeting request from organizer mailbox via EWS assuming we dont have any permission accessing users Inbox and Sent folders (only Calendar folder). Can we avoid pushing meeting invite message directly into user's Inbox folders.

    4. One more question is what is the difference between MeetingRequest and MeetingMessage, how they are used.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
