TPM Errors and other mysteries. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am a part of a team developing a CPU for general COTS use. We have integrated a TPM device and for the most part Windows seems to be detecting it and interacting with it. I imagine this is all expected considering it follows the TPM specification (1.2) and so it should "Just work".

I have noticed while trying to work through the windows 10 pro installation that msinfo32 is reporting :

    PCR7  - Binding Not Possible

So my question is, "what specifically is keeping windows from being able to work with PCR7??"

  • TPM 2.0 or 2.1 is needed for Windows 10.
