How to create custom buttons in the area shown(Outlook 2010) RRS feed

  • i have created add-in using C# for Outlook 2010. last tab.

    having some command bars inside it. i want all that command bar controls inside the area shown in pic. This all is about outlook 2010

  • What do you mean by command bar controls? Outlook 2010 doesn't support the old style Office.CommandBarControls objects or CommandBars at all, it only supports the ribbon.
     
    Unless you use a framework platform such as Add-In Express you would have to handle placing any controls where you want entirely yourself. The methodology is known as adjacent windows. Read the information from Steve Griffin about this at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/stephen_griffin/archive/2010/06/01/adjacent-windows-in-outlook.aspx. That is the only supported way of doing what you want.
