How do I obtain logs from a supervised device? RRS feed

    Hi everyone,

Setup: * Xamarin.Forms app using only iOS * Apple Enterprise agreement (no app store) * MDM solution is Intune * Security profile prohibits device connection to iTunes

Disclaimer: I'm not a mobile developer; I've fallen into the role, so I may be missing some very obvious things. We have a line of business app that is distributed via Intune to the field. The app has gone through a number of different developers, both offshore and onshore and has ended up with me. The app is still very rough and we have occasional crashes in the field that I cannot reproduce in the office or on the simulator. What I would like is a way to get the apple logs remotely when a crash occurs so that I have a starting place for troubleshooting. For my personal (unsupervised) device I connect the phone to my PC. back it up, and get the logs from the AppData folder.

What is the industry standard way to do this remotely? The app is used nationwide, and I am located in Massachusetts.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

You could take a look at the crash reporting in AppCenter, it is very easy to integrate it with Xamarin.
