Installing Visual Studio 2008 Team Foundation Server on Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to install VS2008 TFS on a Windows 7 machine? I get the error 'This operating system in not supported...'

If it is, how can I?

  • No, you can only install TFS 2008 on a Windows Server 2003 or 2008 operating system. And it has to be 32-bit (for the application tier).

  • I've installed TFS 2008 on Windows 7 and it's working. But i do have some issues especially when i try to bind the Visual studio Soultions to the Source controller if the project has any file whose name is too long.

So, i am just looking if there is any Service pack or Batch file available for resolving this issue. Any help is highly appreciated.

    Thanks.
