Bug in ClickOnce or Outlook ? RRS feed

  • Hello,

    we are facing a problem and I believe it is a general one. I would like someone to confirm.

    Let's have this scenario :

    1. We have Outlook Add-In installed using ClickOnce with AutoUpdate enabled.

    2. When starting Outlook, having connection to MS Exchange, but NOT having connection to the ClickOnce installation source the Add-In will be Inactive and will not load

    This can occur when you have Outlook Anywhere implemented and installation source is inside of your network for example (which is our case)

    OR

    simply when Exchange server is online for the client, but server with installation source is not.

    Correct operation should of course be, that when installation source is offline/unreachable Add-in should activate.

    P.S.: Error is not in our code because that one is not executed at all at that time. All this happens before it is even loaded.
