Unable to Install Azure Stack ASDK RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to install Azure Stack ASDK and getting following error. It seems that at step 40 ( Creating Management VMs) it stuck in loop as it take too long time like 5 to 6 hours. After reaching at 75 or 80 %,  it started the same script again by creating the VMs again after removing them.

    I have read over the fourms that there was bug in earlier versions but I am using the latest one.

  • Hi Gary,

    Thanks for your email. I am able to resolve the above mentioned error. The problem was comming because some of Managment VMs like AzS-CA01, AzS-WAS01, Azs-WASP01 and AzS-Xrp01was not accessable from host server. I have disabled the firewall on all VMs  using the command " Set-NetFirewallProfile -Profile Domain,Public,Private -Enabled false"  and restart them again. After the installation has passed that step.

    However, Now my installation is stuck on installing the Service Provider Roles URP,CRP and BRP etc.  For Logs, please refer to the below. Moreover, I am also going to send the logs via an email as well.

  • Hello

    Can you try to restart the Service Fabric service running on AzS-XRP01 and -retry the deployment.

    invoke-command -computername AzS-XRP01 {Restart-Service FabricHostSvc}

    There may also be a networking issue causing the failure.

    Can you test the network connection to login.windows.net  from AzS-WAS01

    Let us know how it goes.

    We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your time and interest in Azure Stack.

    If you experience any issues with Azure Stack or the current ASDK release, please feel free to contact us.

  • Hi Gary,

    Thanks for your reply. The AzS-WAS01 and all other machines those NICs are attached with SDNSwitch are not able to communcicate externally.  The trafic is reaching to AzS-BGPNAT01 but its seems that its not forwarding it.

    The machine AzS-BGPNAT01, itself is able to communicate with external world ( with internet) but other machines are not able to do. Can you please let me know how I troubleshoot this case?
