  • i am trying to install SQL management studio 2008, and for that i need to install microsoft.net framework 3.5 and appears this error. Please help me.

    What OS are you installing on? Also, could you please share the logs in your %temp% folder using the collct tool at: http://blogs.msdn.com/heaths/archive/2008/05/09/visual-studio-and-net-log-collection-utility.aspx

    You can upload the cab file to SkyDrive and post the link back here.

    Steps:
    - Try to clean your "%temp%" folder
    - Install .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
    - Collect the logs from "%temp%" folder
