How to use powershell to install metro app on machine in a network

  • Hi All,

     

    I am developing a metro apps in C++.

    I want my metro apps to be installed on machines in my network.

    I heard about Powershell to install Metro App on machine without going to Windows Store.

    How can I use powershell to install Metro App on mechine in my network?

    And how can I use powershell to install app programticaly in C++

    If anyone have iead about it, then please let me know.

  • You can use the Powershell cmdlet Add-AppxPackage to deploy an AppX package.
    You will need to first sign the AppX package with a private key and install the public certificate into your certificate store.

    There is a post on building, signing, and deploying metro apps here.

    As for doing this remotely, I suppose you would have to take leverage of PowerShell's remote capabilities

  • Jason is on target for a process with the Developer Preview for testing and development of apps. Look for more details and messaging in this area moving forward as sideloading functionality was not a feature in the Developer Preview Release.
