How to store the Recurrence of a meeting in SQL server using Entity Framework RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm programming an application that generates recurring meetings that should be scheduled using Exchange 2013.

    Therefore I need to store the Recurrence information from the different meetings in my SQL Azure Database. I use Entity Framework 5.0 Code First.

    The problem is that the recurrence class is abstract and the nested classes within the Recurrence class are sealed.

    Simply adding the Recurrence class to the context:

    public DbSet<Recurrence> Recurrences { getset; }

    Generates this error:

    One or more validation errors were detected during model generation: \tImproveize.DataAccessLayer.Recurrence: : EntityType 'Recurrence' has no key defined. Define the key for this EntityType.\tRecurrences: EntityType: EntitySet 'Recurrences' is based on type 'Recurrence' that has no keys defined.

    So I'm really lost now :-(
