Does Bluetooth LE Explorer allow Bluetooth 4.0 (HCI6.12545/LMP6.1)? RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I tried to connect my laptop(win10) to a BLE5 peripheral by Bluetooth LE Explorer, it showed connection failures(device unreachable). My mobile phone(BLE5 supported) can be connected to this BLE5 peripheral, so I think the problem must be found in my laptop.

My laptop is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 (HCI6.12545/LMP6.1). Can it support Bluetooth LE Explorer?

    Thanks!

  • Unfortunately the message "device unreachable" is not diagnostic, and we can't tell why it's not connecting simply from that message.

Have you used BTVS to view the snoop log and know the specific error returned from the radio? If you're a developer there are videos were we walk through this about 10:20s in.

If that's not something your comfortable with, you can share the logs by collecting them based on instructions here and sharing them.

Alternatively you can use Windows Feedback Hub, collecting repro tracing and submit feedback in the Bluetooth Low Energy area and share the feedback link.
