    What is the difference between SQL 2005/2008/2008 R2 in terms of DBMirroring,Logshipping and Replication?

  • In addition, Mirroring transfers modified records over the secondary server, LS copies/restores T-LOG files instead. Replication has three categories (Merge,Transactional and Snapshot) which one are  you referencing to?

  • Hello,

    As far as I remember, in SQL 2005 you can mirror just one database. This limitation is gone in SQL 2008 and SQL 2008 R2.

    Log Shipping and Replication haven't changed
