l have a MS SQL Server database sitting in a Windows Azure Virtual machine.l set up the database and all the connections and END POINTS so that l could access the database from my local machine just like they have explained in the link (azure.microsoft.com/en-us/document…). l created a user name and passoword on the database with SQL Server Authentication. With this username l can connect to Sql Server from within the Virual Machine sucessfully. However when l try to connect to the SQl Server in the Virtual machine from the SQL Server in my local machine,l get the error message : "Loginfailed for user 'xxxx'.(Microsoft SQL Server,Error:18456) The Windows Azure SQL Server is version 2014.The one in my local machine is version 2012. Could you please assist. Thanks in advance
