Print Command Does Not Disable When Unregistered

    Question

  • When I run our 8.1 Windows Store app on Windows 10 (build 10051), the Print command in the Control Menu is initially disabled on the main page when we start up. Then I navigate to a secondary page where we register for print in the OnNavigatedTo(), and then unregister in the OnNavigatedFrom() method. As per the following article.

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/xaml/hh465204.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

Well, once that secondary page is visited once, even though we unregistered for print there, the print command remains enabled on all pages including the main page.

Is this expected behavior or a known issue that will be fixed? If the former, is there way to explicitly disable it?

    Thanks.
