Kinect v2 with System.Speech RRS feed

• Question

• Dear Kinect Team,

I want to use the Kinect v2 with the System.Speech namespace because it supports dictation.

I tried to use the KinectAudioStream wrapper from the Speech Basics Sample, but the System.Speech engine requests the length of the stream and unfortunately the length get method is not implemented in the wrapper.

I'm not quite sure what the length of a stream actually is.

It's all about this part of KinectAudioStream.cs :

///

/// Gets the length of the stream. Not implemented.
///

public override long Length
get { throw new NotImplementedException(); }

Can you tell me what this method should give back to make this whole thing work? I think this wrapper would be extremly helpful in a fully implemented way, because as far as I get it the audio stream of the kinect is simply not usable for speech recognition without that wrapper.

Thanks in advance!
