Very slow video playback on Rasp2

Question
-
Hi guys,
I'm trying to play a video in a custom WUA thanks to a MediaElement. Everything's fine except the video playback is very very slow, like 1 or 2 fps.
The Rasp2 is connected to a high res monitor (1080p60hz) and the video is a 720p video.
I'm wondering if there is any hardware acceleration I can use or if anything else that can boost the video playback.
Thank you.
Regards,

Hi,
as I know, there is no hardware-like graphical acceleration yet.
Let's hope that this will be a (great) future in further versions of Windows 10 IoT Core.
Is it possible to Encoder the Video with a More 'aggressiv' Code to shrink the required ressources?
Kind regards, Tobi

One test video with DivX codec, and another with H264/MP4 codec. Same results.
It appears that Windows 10 Core for Rasp2 has pretty basic display drivers. Maybe in a future release. Could be great :)

Yes, you always can encode with lower bitrate or resolution, but I'm trying to have a player as generic as possible.
It's definitely a show stopper and that's a shame. I'll wait until an eventual update or new build :)

Let us cross some fingers that MSFT will add this feature in future builds.
Kind regards, Tobi
