how to recover a folder disappeared

Question
-
Hi
We are using a GPS recplicated Azure storage account which is connected to a local drive on premise.
All of a sudden we are missing a specific folder. We don't know how it disappeared.
How can this folder be recovered?
Help is much appreciated.

To clarify, are you using GRS replicated Storage Account?
If you are using GRS storage account, Folder/Data will be automatically deleted in the secondary region If the folder/data deleted from the primary region.
It's not possible to restore a deleted storage account or retrieve any of the content that it contained before deletion. Be sure to back up anything you want to save before you delete the account. This also holds true for any resources in the account—once you delete a blob, table, queue, or file, it is permanently deleted.
One possible solution would be to reach out to Azure support and ask them if they can restore the deleted files for you. Typically, if you reach out to them soon after the accidental deletes, they would be able to restore the files for you.

Thank you for the quick reply.
Yes, we are using GRS storage.
Do I need a support contract for getting Azure support or is there a free way of talking to them?
