Search Results Page not the same as Master Page config RRS feed

  • Hello again:

    My master pages work fine across the site collections, but I've noticed that the template is not the same for all pages.  I only see this other page layout when I click on the headings in the Quick Launch area or after my search results are returned.

    What is this page layout called?  And where can I find it to customize it?  Google was not so friendly in the search for this answer...

  • If you look at the URL in the address bar when you see one of these pages you will probably notice that they all have _Layouts in thier address.  Pages in the _Layouts directory use a different master page called Application.master.  This is a problem that was fixed in SharePoint 2010.  For SharePoint 2007 there are a couple of different ways to address the problem.  YOu can read about them here:
