Could not find stored procedure when using WCF- SQL Adapters RRS feed

  • Question

  • Am Using the WCF-SQL Adapter to  generate schema for delete operations. I dont use SP direct tables only.

    http://soa-thoughts.blogspot.in/2010/08/wcf-sql-adapter-table-operations.html

    My Schema looks like the one below

      <ns0:Delete xmlns:ns0="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Sql/2008/05/TableOp/dbo/MetricsData">
      <ns0:Rows>
      <ns1:MetricsData xmlns:ns1="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Sql/2008/05/Types/Tables/dbo">
      <ns1:BWItemID>BWItemIDBWItemIDBWItemIDBWItemIDBWItemIDBWItemIDBW</ns1:BWItemID>
      </ns1:MetricsData>

      </ns0:Rows>
      </ns0:Delete>

    The Input XML is  give below.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <ns0:Delete xmlns:ns0="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Sql/2008/05/TableOp/dbo/MetricsData" xmlns:ns3="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Sql/2008/05/Types/Tables/dbo">
    - <ns0:Rows>
    - <ns3:MetricsData>
      <ns3:BWItemID>A0016</ns3:BWItemID>
      </ns3:MetricsData>
      </ns0:Rows>
      </ns0:Delete>

    Now i get an error as below

    The adapter "SQL" raised an error message. Details "HRESULT="0x80040e14"
    Description="Could not find stored procedure 'Rows'.""..

    Why does it consider Rows as SP Name ....i dont use the SP at all . how could i solve this issue.

    Please Advice

    Regards Suresh

  • I found the issue ,   in the SendPort i did not configure it for  transport type WCF-Custom instead did it for SQL and hence the issue.

  • Hi,

    Try regenerating your schemas and running again, when you say now its giving an error, was it working earlier?

  • hi

    Yes it was an old project done a year back...but when i was testing it now it gave such errors. I did it again but still of no use.

    Not sure why it considers ROWS as SP..
