Missing Bookmarks RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a macro that replaces the cover page of our procedures. The problem I'm having is when the macro copies the new cover page into the existing document three of my tem bookmarks don't copy over. Any idea why this is happening? I'm using Word 2010.

  • Hi,

How about the problem on your side? Do you still need any assistant about the problem? Can you upload your demo word file to the skydirve:

so that we can reproduce and analyze the problem more quickly.

  • There's a few reasons that I can think of for why this might happen.

    1. The bookmark name already exists in the destination document
    2. The ending point of the bookmark is not in the selected and copied text
    3. The destination document is not set to keep the source formatting of pasted text
    4. The automated paste command is set to paste text only (unformatted)

    Hope this helps

  • I don't see how it could be any of these. I have seven other bookmarks that come across just fine. The three that are missing are between the first and last bookmarks. The only place these bookmarks show up is on the first page which I delete first.
