  • Hi Joshua,

    Thank you for your reply.

I'm not quite familiar with the deployment of your application. You might provide me more information on that. Thus, I can give you more useful help.
And could you please provide some information about the two machines - "OS of MSXP-SP2" and "my old development machine with FW1.1"? OS and the version of .NET Framework installed?

To run .NET 3.0 application on the target machine, at least, we need to install related Framework to support our applications. Thus, please check whether you have deployed .NET Framework 3.0 as prerequisite of your application.

You can include .NET Framework package with your application installer.

As far as I know, Visual Studio can help developer to automatically install the prerequisite prior to the application.

For ClickOnce, please right click your project >> go to Properties >> Publish tab >> click "Prerequisites....".
For setup project, please right click your setup project >> go to Properties >> click "Prerequisites....".

BTW, this forum is for the support of .NET Framework installation. Since your issue is related to deployment, you could post your thread on ClickOnce and Setup & Deployment Projects forum. This will make answer searching in the forum easier and be beneficial to other community members as well.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Hope this helps! If you have any concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,
    Yichun Chen
