BizTalk 2013 R2 - Weird receive behavior RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have BizTalk 2013 R2 developer edition installed on a VM with 68GB RAM and 8 cores.

When 100 files (1500KB each)are dropped in to the receive location folder, the receive host (64 bit) memory keeps climbing up and the files just sit in the folder for more than 4 hours. But when 20 files are dropped everything is fine, the receive adapter picks the files instantly and host memory doesn't climb.

I don't think I had this issue with BizTalk 2010.

    Has anyone experienced this...?

  • Hi

I think you can set throttling at host instances configurations.

  • BTW Can you reproduce this issue?

  • Hi Ravikumar

I tried various throttling settings...did not help. I ran some tests on other similar installations but did not see this behavior. So mostly likely this is environmental. I've requested client to provide me a VM on a different host to determine if its environmental or not.

  • Hi Leonid

Yes, I can reproduce this every time I drop 50 files or more. I think this is environmental issue , as I was not able to reproduce this on other similar installations.

  • Hi,

Did you check the throttling state on receive handler when this issue occurs. That will help in working out for the resolution.
