Skeleton tracking if limbs are obscured/missing RRS feed

  • Question

  • My question is: If sections of the body are obscured, will the skeleton tracking accessible from the SDK still work?

Primarily, if the camera is positioned so that it only sees your torso and arms, will it be able to track arm and head motion?

If you are missing an arm, will the other arm still be trackable?

Essentially, I would be very interested in applying the kinect in these situations, but I am not sure if the functions built into the SDK would support this. I suspect that if I had to write my own tracking functions, they would not be good enough to accomplish the continuous body tracking  with the reliability that I need.

    Thanks for any help.
