Running MSTest Unit tests for Silverlight in VS2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi.  This something I was able to do in VS 2008 by simply replacing some of the dlls in the test project such as system.dll etc.  Now, with VS 2010, this isnt possible.  This _was_ very useful in testing the View Models (MVVM pattern) easily with full automation, code coverage etc.  Nothing had to run in a browser. Is there any chance this will be fixed?

  • There is still not a great answer currently.  Lots of people are still using the Silverlight Unit Test Framework, or create a unit test project add the silverlight assembly and live with the limitations (e.g. not running in CoreCLR etc)

There is a good post here:-http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4247161/silverlight-unit-testing-integration-in-vs-2010 that discusses some options including Rx.
