  • Hi, this is the default folder for your backup create by SQL server During the installation process, you can delete any file on it and will not affect your server, even I think you can delete this folder. But make sure your backups are stored in some place. I hope this is helpful. Elmozamil Elamir MyBlog

  • It is created during the installation and intend to store over there db backups (I think).... What files do you have there? Make sure that is not valid backups of your databases.

  • You should not delete that folder as it will have a reference in the registry.

Yes you can delete the files from this folder unless you should have the copy of your backup.

Yes it is automatically created and its the default location of the backups created by the SQL SERVER, It will not make any difference if you delete this file.

This is the default folder in which sql create s backups. Yes you can delete the files in this folder. However remember if you are creating log backups then you would need these files to perform a successfull recovery.

It usually creates backusp via a maintaince plan or a job which is scheduled to run, look at the time the backup were created to idetify the job.

    Do not delete the folder.
