  • Question

  • Hi All,

Is it possible to get list of all applications installed on device? Protocol document explains how to query installed applications that belong to some enterprise id. But I am interested in list of all applications that is installed on device(including manually installed personal applications). Is it supported in Windows 8.1 MDM?

  • The Windows 8.1 and the Windows Phone 8.1 Enterprise Device Management protocols do not currently include any configuration service provider (CSP) that provides a full application inventory.

This is mentioned in the Q&A section of both documents...

    Windows Phone 8.1:
Q: Is it possible to get an application inventory of the entire phone or just enterprise-deployed apps?
A: The MDM server can only inventory enterprise-deployed apps. However if the server knows the product ID of the app, it could query to find out whether that app is installed in the device in Windows Phone 8.1.

    Windows 8.1:
Q: Is it possible to get an application inventory of the entire device or just enterprise-deployed apps?
A: The DM service can only inventory enterprise- deployed apps.
