ADFS on IIS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We would like to integrate our existing ADFS server with our IIS webserver.  This is the setup that we're currently using :

    1) One ADFS server is operational and is used to authenticate our co-workers access to Office 365.

    2) One test server running an IIS 8.5 webserver.  The webserver contains a website that points to a local folder.  This folder will contain files and folders that our co-workers will access via the web.  The url for this has already been set up and it is also already accessible via the internet.

    3) Now instead of using basic or windows authentication, we would like to authenticate against our ADFS server.  There is quite a lot of documentation that explains how to setup ADFS on a web application, however in our setup there is no application, just a site pointing to a shared folder under IIS.

Is it technically possible to setup ADFS to an IIS website (no application) ?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

    Best regards

    Joeri Michiels
