  • Question

  • Hi,

I am new to this Smart Device Development. Our requirement is scanning some barcode through HHT and uploading and storing  with in the device itself. We have purchased model MC9200,MC9090,MC9190 etc..,

Please help me out the following doubts

    1. Which VS version supports for this kind of Smart Device Application Development.?

    2. What is the other software is required to develop the mobile application ?

I will be grateful if some one can help it.

    Thanks

  • You need to contact the device manufacturer to get this info. Which VS version is supported depends on the version of CE running on the device. It's probably going to be VS2015, but really only the device manufacturer will be able to tell you this for sure.

For native code development you will need the SDK for the device (again, from the device manufacturer). If you just want to develop in managed code (C#) then you can just target any Smart Device (see VS New Project dialog) and you should be fine.
