windows media player sync playlist with a folder in a computer instead of device RRS feed

  • Hi!

I am not sure where should I be posting this question. I have a small home based server in which I need to update files every 30 mins in specified location e.g. C:\LiveVideoFeeds. in 30 mins I at least put 8 mpeg files playable by media player and it will be of format 1.mpeg, 2.mpeg and so forth. the filenames are incremental so in a day I keep publishing those files via SSIS scheduled package through which i get files from different server and publish it to C:\LiveVideoFeeds. I have about 100 customers who have windows media player and they would like to play all those files uploaded in my C:\LiveVideoFeeds to their local PC. one way i could have a windows scheduler to check file in my server every 5 mins for update from their local PC via ftp task or something. but I also need to keep adding to their current playlist so it gets played autonomously. there is a sync function in windows media player but I would like the device to be a folder in which i could grab all updated content from server and play it. this sync will be useful as if i delete files from server it will also delete from client. could someone please help me how could i acheive this?

    thanks in forward
