ReportViewer PerformBack does not fire Back event RRS feed

  • Question

  • It appears that if I use the "BackToParent" button on the ReportViewer, it correctly calls the Back event.  However, when I programmatically call the PerformBack method on the reportviewer, it does not call the Back event.

This is an issue because my client wants a more noticeable "Back To Parent" arrow/button on the page instead of the tiny arror that the Report View provides.  Seemed simple enough to just turn off the toolbar one and add my own calling the PerformBack.  I have code in the Back event which is not being called.

Does anyone know why the PerformBack method does NOT call the Back event despite what the documentation states?

    Thanks

I am experiencing exactly the same behavior.

Does anyone has any solution for this?

    Thank you

  • I ended up removing the code in the event and explictly placed the code under my external "click" routine.  The coding is a different since the back event send you the report the  user is trying to go back to, where perform back just resets the controls with the previous report.
