  • Question

  • With SQL 2000 we had used the @auto_identity_range = 'false' setting of sp_addarticle to ensure that identity columns were not created on the subscriber during the initial snapshot.  In 2005 this option has been deprecated.  Is it correct to use the @identityrangemanagementoption = "none" option in 2005 to achieve the same result?  We do not want identity columns replicated to the subscriber.

  • Yes, that is correct! It should be set to manual to disable it.
