What is the best way to manage my projects on two different machines? RRS feed

  • This seemed like the closest forum for my question though it is still slightly off topic.

I am a student that has both a desktop and a laptop.  I like to use both of my computers which has presented an issue.  I am wondering if there is some free or affordable software the will allow me to create a repository.  I know I can copy and paste the folders for projects  but I like the idea of having a utility to do it for me.

Ideally this would be able to do this in a reliable and fool proof way.  It should be intelligent.  I have some concerns of some type of collision or overwrite issues. I am guessing that some one has figured out a way around this.

Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks.
