[WDK]Unbale to run .cpp code in kmdf driver solution RRS feed

  • hi all,

    i am new to driver development.

    i am trying to code in c++ for kmdf driver development. but i am getting some nonsense error. 

    but when i runs code in .c file the it runs successfully. 

    can anybody explain me what is going on and how can i run .cpp file in kmdf.

  • Well without knowing the error it is hard to know what the failure is.  You should understand that using C++ in the kernel you are limited to a subset of the language, and the WDK toolset will flag many constructs beyond that.

    You might take a look at http://www.osronline.com/article.cfm?article=390  the associated zip file has the source of a very simple KMDF driver developed in C++.
