Rama,
BizTalk wasn't dead before and isn't dead now. Au contraire, it has gained great force and momentum.
We will be seeing a new version of BizTalk in 2016. Microsoft announced that on December 24th 2015, a few days back.
Here is a great coverage article from the folks at BizTalk360:

Hi, BizTalk is not dead. Not at all, with a growing platform even into the cloud with AppService.
You can take a look at the newly released roadmap here:

Not dead, but it appears BizTalk Server as a part of the integration platform is an orphan child at Microsoft. It's great to see such big plans , but how guys about thinking small and fixing quite a few annoying issues? Some of them have been around for years. How about fixing for example the Admin Console, so that it won't crash during an important presentation? It was broken in BizTalk 2009, today is 20016... How about integration with your own Dynamics AX, where BizTalk Dev tools in Visual Studio choke on the artefacts generated off the AX?

Far from being an orphan product, >80% of integration apps will be build on BizTalk Server for the foreseeable as the Azure based feature set is brought to parity.
If you're having a problem with the Admin Console or AX, please open thread on the BizTalk forum and we'll be happy to help. I've done plenty of AX integration and it should be pretty straight forward.
