linq to sql help RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am planning to use a detailsview control in a C#asp.net webform project since i only need to change one row in the master table at a time. The details view control will obtain its information from the following:

    1. The first webpage allows the user to create the master table record.

    2. Some of the information

In a C# 2010 application that I am writing, I would like to see the linq statement that can be used to load a data control before the 'databind' method is called. The following needs to be loaded:
    1. 3 columns from the master table.
    2. Another table called the 'schedule table' will be used to place some of its dates into the correspsonding dates of the master table.
    3. The selection for the 'schedule' table is based upon whtever the current run date is.

Can you give me a suggestion on how to set this up in a linq statement?
