Here is you duplicate thread but i am not going to merge it because you have different question now. (as i can see your last post in this thread)
For you issue, You first need to understand the FBA concept and it's configuration part then you can look for password complexity.
Just see belwo URL and match with your web application then you will know about membership provider (look at "PasswordFormat" tag):
