What is instance ID? RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I run my program

     in python I get the error:

    "Authorization": "Bearer "= _token"[access_token"],

    KeyError: 'access_token'

    I believe my instance ID is wrong.

    What is instance ID? Where can I find this ID number?

    I read the definition but it did not give me enough information for a conclusion.

    instanceid:  GUID A globally unique device identifier of the device making the request.  Example: instanceid=b2c95ede-97eb-4c88-81e4-80f32d6aee5

  • Are you getting the access token first, and passing it with the request, as described in the REST API reference docs?

    For the ID's I just get a random UUID like this (Java)

    String instanceID = UUID.randomUUID().toString();
    Let me know if you get your request working, perhaps it may help me get mine working. Maybe my thread is of use to you.
