I have Visual Studio 2008 Professional CD that I purchased a couple years ago. I got a new laptop. Its an ultrabook with no CD drive. How do I get the installer for Visual Studio 2008 Professional so I can just enter my key. Very dissappointed that there doesn't seem to be a way to get it easily.

Go to a friends house and copy the DVD to a USB key if anything, there has to be a way to do it. Or download a full version from a ware site and then just activate with your valid key,

Yes I tried google for over an hour. That is why I am asking here. It appears that you can only download if you have a subscription account with them.

Hi triggered,
As far as I know, the VS 2010 and earlier are not supported to download now. (Maybe subscribers can download it)
I think, you could refer to aabruzzese’s reply to copy it.
Thanks
Best Regards

Went to a friends house, installed Dameon Tools and converted the CD to an ISO file in which Windows 8 can mount.
