Using Silverlight 1.0 in Windows 8 app

  • Is there a way to convert my Silverlight 1.0 javascript app to a Windows 8 javascript app?

  • Silverlight is not supported in Windows Store apps. You'll need to convert your app to HTML/JavaScript with a <video> tag.

    As Rob has said, silverlight is not supported in Windows Store apps. Windows Store apps support different programming languages: C++(with XAML as UI), C# or VB.NET (with XAML as UI), javascript (with HTML5 as UI). So if you're familar with XAML based silverlight programming, you might consider migrate your existing silverlight app to windows store app with c# or VB.NET +XAML. Or if you feel more comfortable with html and js, you can go the HTML5+javascript approach.
