SQL Server 2014 BI RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a customer that deployed SharePoint 2013 / Project Server 2013 on a SQL 2014 BI edition in trial mode. We are trying to get a license for this, but MS is saying they no longer sell BI edition. They can either purchase Standard or Ent.  Has anybody had this issue with legacy deployments. Is there a workaround or other solution besides purchasing the Ent edition for only 29 users.

  • Hi Bryan5411,

    Thanks for your question.

In this scenario, you would have to follow the suggestion provided by MS. I do not think that there is  a workaround or other solution for this. As we can see from below link, there is no BI edition for SQL Server 2016.
