WCF wsdl - is there an equivalent tool/tech/protocol for webapi? RRS feed

  • when you create a service in WCF you can easily get a CONTRACT and schemas of data element from the wsdl

    is there an equivalent for exploring and learning about asmx and or webapi discovery?

  • Hi noJedi,

    As far as i know, the asp.net asmx  webservice we can get itfrom wsdl.exe.

    Because it based on SOAP and return data in  xml.

    And webapi it based on HTTP protocol, so it has no wsdl file like WCF service and asmx.

  • Yeah, sorry asmx is SOAP... its the WEB API that we are trying to "map out"...
