no more USB 3.0 issues with newest Kinect versions? RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi Everybody,

in past time we experienced many troubles with Kinect for Windows version 2 (K4Wv2), many of them dealing with USB 3.0 compabilty (https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b4f69d19-982e-4cfd-82b7-f13e1a6b35b2/kinect-for-windows-v2-usb-30-compatibly-issues-some-results?forum=kinectv2sdk).

we found that USB3 troubles were significant among the whole comunity, with many topics and questions here on MSDN. instead now, 1 year after that Microsoft released new Kinect for Xbox One and its Kinect adpter for Windows, it looks like everything works good.

is that true? are all the past problems with Kinect being solved with the last device and its adapter for Windows?

  • Yes, it would be very nice to know if Microsoft have a new Kinect v2 SDK version without USB controller compatibility problems in prospect.

    Thank you!
