  • Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The Audio coming from Kinect Studio (Available in SDK Browser 2.0) have a very nice quality of Audio without Echo Cancellation & Noise suppression.

I need that quality of sound.

I did not understand if you provide the Kinect SDK Application in SDK Browser 2.0 for the developers. Why this without source code.

    Is there any hope?

  • Hi Butt, Imran Sharif,

There is sample for native C++ source code found in the Audio Capture Raw-Console application provided by the SDK.

Look inside the Native samples folder.

  • Hi,

I checked Audio quality of Both "Audio Capture Raw-Console application" and "Kinect Studio. There is lot of difference of Audio quality.

    1. Kinect Studio Audio quality with Echo cancellation and noise suppression and output sound is good rather than Console Application

    2. Kinect V2 dont Expose Audio properties like Noise, Echo, Gain control. What are the default audio properties for V2

    3. How I can implement these properties in Kinect V2 Audio. Please provide some sample code.

  • The noise reduction and Echo Cancellation sdk and samples were not released with this version of the release, and Microsoft hasn't commented on if this will be released or not.

In the preview program this question was asked as well and there was no real answer given. Nor were there many people interested thus the priorities for this topic were diminished. If this is important, please vote this topic and question up to get the K4W engineers' attention.

    Thanks

  • Hi Mr. Dwight-Goins

Thanks for reply. I am asking a very simple thing. There is one application Kinect studio 2.0

When we connect Kinect Studio 2.0 with Kinect Service, the audio starts. I need the same to implement in my custom application. I am sure Kinect Studio 2.0 developed by MS Kinect Developer Team. I am interested on the Audio Module used in Kinect Studio 2.0.

    Thanks

  • Have you use .Net Reflector to look at the disassembly code for KStudio? Some of the logic was done with C++ libraries, but anything that wasn't you can reverse engineer.
