    Hello all,

    ahhh i can't find a script who can open a url (new window) WIHTOUT the address bar !

    I can't understand i used this but never work ...

       function openGoogle()
            {
                window.open("http://www.google.com", "mywindow", "location=0, titlebar=0");
            }
    
        </script>
    </head>
    <body>
            <input type="button" onclick="openGoogle();" value="OPEN GOOGLE" />
    </body>
    </html>
    

    This script it's just for testing ...

    someone can help me ...How i can open a window WITHOUT address bar IN chrome and internet explorer ?

    Hi,

    Might be a safety issue. Have you tried with a page that is on the same site ?

    for security, this feature was removed from all modern browsers.

    Hi,

    yes that's work in fact if i open a page locate in the same site ..

    But my problem is onclik on button i must to open another website WITH hidden address bar !

    Any idea perhpas ?

    thanks for your comment i can't stop to search => pretty boring i remember it was pretty easy before to open a pop up with a new site from different location !

    Then I think you can't as having a malicious script opening a window without any indication would be a safety risk. Keep in mind that you are basically in a sandbox and that the user must keep safe and in control.

    its just as easy to popup a site, they just removed the ability to remove the chrome. the security hole they wanted to patch was a website opening a window that looked like the windows lock screen dialog, and stealing passwords.
