New Demo Servers DS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello. Now that the “Online Service” will be taken down… is there any other Demo Servers we can use?

Will this new server support the $callback=foo parameter? and other parameters?

    Thanks

  • In the short term we wont have demo servers as we did previously.  We are looking at putting some read only systems up at a more permanent location for folks to quickly explore data services, but nothing concrete to point at yet.  In the mean time, there are Windows Live services that use the same set of patterns (in HTTP, payloads, etc) as a custom Astoria service such as: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb932323.aspx

  • Mike, Has any progress been made on getting a demo site up? I have a lot of interested clients and colleagues at Gartner who want a hands on feel for how the traditional relational model maps into the REST/HATEOAS style, and the original Astoria hosted demo was a phenomenal way of enabling them to get a hands on feel for "linked data".
