Windows 2012 Storage Foundations Hyper-V Network Driver Missing RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am attempting to load Windows 2012 Storage Foundations on a Hyper-V server to test out the new Data de-duplication features.  However, after initial installation, I see that no network adapter is visible to the OS.  Is this by design?

How do I enable network adapter when running in a Hyper-V 2012 environment?

  • Storage Foundations is not supported on Hyper-V and thus has network drivers for Hyper-V disabled.  I re-installed with 2012 Storage Standard and is working fine in Hyper-V test environment.

  • I found that to be the case as well until I actually plugged in the cable. Once it detected the network then the option to manage was available.

  • Clearly this is a troll post, as there is no cable to "plug in" with a Hyper-V environment.
