How to Configure SMTP E-mail in IIS 7?

Question

Hi everone,

               in windows 2003 server my mail trigger working fine, but in win 2008 server with iis 7 has big problem to send a mail. in iis7 i configured smtp server. In SMTP E-mail Address textbox i gave  admin@****.com and use localhost but while sending mail i got an error "Failure to send mail"

Please Someone help me...Urgent plz.

Hi Gaurav,

              I did all those things, but i got an below error while sending a mail

Excp : "failure sending mail"

Inner Excp : "unable to read data from the transport connection net_io_connectionclosed"

My Questions :

1. Is my new server 2008 have to configure as Public IP?

2. While Check with Old Server 2003 for SMTP using telnet i got a message is Fine. In my New Server 2008 for SMTP check using telnet i got an error Connection to host lost.

Urgent Please Help..
