    I am trying to make an application for articles. How do I get the formatted data on the text editor just like the one in this forum for creating post and submit it to the database. Thanks.

    Use a Rich Text Editor like CKEditor or TinyMCE.

    When you reference the content in the Request collection, use Request.Unvalidated() e.g.

    if(IsPost){
        var myHtmlContent = Request.Unvalidated("MyTextArea");
        ....
    }

    Hi Chris17,

    Yes, I found that it will show the small modal dialog box when select the text.

    For this issue, I suggest that you should create a new thread.

    Thanks

    Best Regards

    Ok Thanks. TinyMCE does that. See http://www.tinymce.com/wiki.php/Inline

    Thank you. Do you know any editor that supports inline text formatting like http://editor.froala.com/. Couldnt use that because of license.

    What do you mean by inline text formatting?

    I see no difference (besides UI) between Mike's suggestions, 2 of the most popular WYSIWYGs, and your example.

    Visit the link and scroll down to the header "click and edit". Highlight ant text there and see what happens
