AI Availability Monitor Test Locations

    Question

  • The documentation of the Availability Monitoring feature is providing an overview of how many locations are available and describes test locations as "places from where our servers send web requests to your URL".

Is there more information publicly available about those "test locations" where the web requests are being sent from? Are the test request being sent from within or outside of the Azure datacenter? Would we be able to detect an issue with the internet gateway of the Azure datacenter hosting our web service?

  • I believe the link you've included is as much documentation we have in Microsoft Docs, however I've reached out to see if there is any additional information that we can provide.

  • The test requests are being sent from (within) Azure Datacenters.  You can find a list of Azure Datacenter locations on the Azure Regions page.  You can check the status of an Azure Datacenter on the Azure Status page.
